Venue in the City Showcase

Last Wednesday St Edmund in the City hosted an Autumn showcase for corporate buyers and event planners.  As a recent addition to it’s preferred suppliers list (we are one of two preferred caterers for the venue) we had great pleasure in helping them to achieve an impressive look for the venue.  Enabling guests to view the venue in both a corporate and private event space light.

On either side of the impressive Main Church we showed what it could like for a corporate dinner and also for a wonderful vintage wedding breakfast.  With equipment supplied by both Well Dressed Tables and What a Fab Party, guests were suitably impressed with our carefully designed tables.  The colours although vastly different on either side of the room, both worked very well with the design and ambience of the venue.  With a capacity of 80-100 for dinner this would be the perfect size for many types of events.

In the Vestry Hall, an intimate room at the back of the church overlooking the beautiful garden courtyard, we set up a banqueting table set for 12 with a distinct Christmas feel to the décor and lighting.  This would be ideal for a cosy dinner for up to 20 guests either for well-deserved management Christmas lunch or private dinner celebration.

To tie in with the Christmas theme throughout the venue for this showcase we continued this with our a selection of canapés from our new Festive Menu.  These included Coronation turkey with brussel sprout salad in a little pot, a shot of Eggnot topped with King Crab or goat’s cheese truffle rolled in Pistachio on a pastry spoon.  A fair few guests had to go back for seconds and they said ‘they were absolutely delicious’! Well  that is good news!
