Private Parties a Go-Go

29 May

So it’s been a glorious bank holiday weekend and we are back to work in this wet and windy weather! At least at the Purple Grape office we made the most of it! I was out shopping, Kim went climbing up a mountain and Cecilia enjoyed the delights of the Southbank.  Unfortunately Kate, Emily and Becca were working at some fabulous parties, but we’ll make it up to them don’t worry!

Bloomsbury Ballroom

So what have we been up to, well this last week we have seen quite a few private parties all in celebration of life.  We’ve seen a 70th birthday through to an 18th birthday party and then finished up with a wedding!

The first birthday of the week was to celebrate the fabulous Arlene Phillips’ 70th birthday at the Bloomsbury Ballroom where we served such delicacies as our infamous mini beef yorkshire puddings.  Following on from that again at the Bloomsbury Ballroom we had a wedding on Saturday evening, clearly our clients have excellent taste in choosing this great venue!! This was not your traditional wedding as they had already been married in Italy so there was fun British bowl food like sausage and mash and fish and chips being served to the guests.  Plenty of yummy food to keep them dancing until the wee hours. Also on the Saturday night we had a wonderful 18th Birthday party at Icetank in Soho.  Where the theme was all pink and masquerade masks! And this theme followed through even to the cake pops that were served as dessert! Icetank is great for being able to create a beautiful modern and intimate feel for any party, but can also work just as well for corporate meetings and networking evenings.  A very versatile space with a great team in place (well look at that I’m a poet and didn’t know it!).
