IMG_2688So it has been a busy week for Purple Grape as we have had our own stand at International Confex, an events industry exhibition which was held at Olympia London.  This was the first time we had our own stand at an exhibition so it was very exciting for us, and we really enjoyed it. It was great to see some of our colleagues on other stands throughout the show, and of course to see lots of new faces!

IMG_2692We offered samples of our delicious canapés over the two days while we were there, and people flocked to our stand as soon as they found out they were real!  One of our wonderful chefs, Sal, made them for our guests right there on our stand. We were also running a competition to win a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne – winner to be announced next week so keep an eye on our Twitter  and Facebook  pages for the winner.

On the menu over the two days we had the following:

Middle Eastern spiced sumac lamb, with feta and black olive salad on an edible spoon

IMG_2700Goats cheese truffle with walnuts and a spiced beetroot gazpacho

King Prawn with Japanese ginger and sweet chilli

Sashimi tuna with black sesame seeds and tobiko

Plum Glazed duck with cucumber and spring onion salad in a crispy cone

Griddled zucchini with wild rocket and artichokes

Carpaccio of beef with wild rocket and Manchego cheese

There was both lemon and passion fruit little meringue pies

Raspberry crème brulee in chocolate cups

We also had a beautiful table laid up for a dinner with the equipment supplied but one of our fabulous suppliers Well Dressed Tables .  The gorgeous flowers were by Sadie Rose and Fantastic also supplied us with our very cool and shiny bar from which to serve our canapés. A big thanks to them all for their help with our stand!
